STANDARDIZED COURT FORMS

It appears that at least on some level there will be some uniformity in the courts across the State. Beginning on July 1, 2021 there should be a set of standardized court forms that will be accepted in all Illinois Courts.

One of the most difficult aspects of being a traveling attorney is knowing and remembering all the little differences from County to County. Every County does things a little differently and sometimes it’s hard to remember one procedure from another.

Although, this change is not going to remedy that dilemma, it is still a step in the right direction. My only question is: it’s 2021. How come it has taken this long to figure out? I guess it’s better late than never.
